I am trying to install the HP tool for my Pavilion tx 22dx. This is my first time posting a question on the HP support forum, I found my laptop booting up to a black screen but I can still hear the fans working and see the. With the exception of flashing the bios by flashing a hardware OEM bios I have not seen a solution for this. I went to the hp website and downloaded the official dmi utility. I am a systems administrator, and I was recently tasked with changing the motherboard on a server. I just started getting these HP Pavilion tx 22dx motherboard errors and had to re-tattoo the bios, but I can't find any information. The steps involved to tattoo the motherboard are available through hp.com under the support. I had my hp motherboard tattoo'd and it was working fine until I accidentally inserted a USB device which caused my cpu to be throttled. Is there an easy way to change your HP Pavilion laptop's motherboard without getting a HP Tech? I'm wondering if there's anyway i can re-tattoo the BIOS without a HP tech. I searched all over the net, but i cannot find any.
